Appointments

VULVAL & PAEDIATRIC patients are given priority appointments.


For vulval dermatology conditions:



Canberra:

  1. Referrals (including full contact details) should be faxed to 02 5114 2684 or emailed
    to referrals@drumderm.com.au

  2. You will receive written confirmation of your appointment time.

  3. If you wish to cancel or change an appointment time please call 02 5114 2682 or 
    email contact@drumderm.com.au.


Sydney:

  1. Please obtain a referral from your doctor and call The Skin Hospital, Darlinghurst on
    02 8651 2000 to make an appointment.

  2. Please bring your referral with you when you attend for the appointment.

  3. If you wish to cancel or change an appointment time please call 02 8651 2000.



For Paediatric dermatology conditions


  1. Referrals (including full contact details) should be sent to Central Outpatients at Canberra Hospital ACTHealthCentralOutpatient-Referrals@act.gov.au
    - All referrals are triaged according to urgency.
    - You will be sent details of your appointment date and time.
    Please note that any queries about changing or cancelling an appointment in the Outpatients Department should be directed to the hospital not Dr Drummond’s office.
    The Paediatric Dermatology clinic is held in the Outpatients Department at the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children.

  2. If you would like your child to be seen privately please email the referral to referrals@drumderm.com.au  or fax to 02 5114 2684, or ask your doctor to send the reference to Healthlink.



For General dermatology conditions:


  1. Referrals (including full contact details) to see Dr Drummond should be emailed to referrals@drumderm.com.au  or fax to 02 5114 2684.

  2. You will receive confirmation of your appointment date and time.

  3. If you wish to cancel or change an appointment time please call 02 5114 2682 or 
    email contact@drumderm.com.au.

  4. All referrals are triaged according to clinical urgency.

  5. Sending a referral does not constitute acceptance of the referral or guarantee that an appointment will be offered.

  6. If it is not possible to offer you an appointment, your referral letter will be returned to your doctor so that arrangements can be made for referral to another specialist if necessary.


For South Coast patients:


If you would prefer to see Dr Drummond in Moruya about a vulval, paediatric or general dermatology problem:

  1. All appointments for South Coast patients are made through the Canberra rooms.

  2. Please send referrals to referrals@drumderm.com.au  or fax to 02 5114 2684.

  3. You will receive written confirmation of your appointment time.

  4. If you wish to cancel or change an appointment time please call 02 5114 2682 or 
    email contact@drumderm.com.au.



Teledermatology



  1. Appointments can be made for telemedicine consultations for certain conditions if you live in an outer metropolitan, rural or remote area, or if you live in a residential aged care facility.

  2. Only certain conditions are suitable for teledermatology consultations (skin cancer and mole checks are not suitable).

  3. Dr Drummond  will decide whether your problem is suitable for a teledermatology consultation.

  4. Photos of your skin condition should be emailed prior to the consultation.

  5. Fees for telehealth consultations are generally equivalent to face to face consultations. Medicare rebates are usually but not always claimable.

  6. Prepayment is required before the consultation, either by credit card or direct bank transfer.

  7. Referrals should be emailed to referrals@drumderm.com.au  or fax to 02 5114 2684.



Cancellation of appointments


If you wish to cancel your appointment, or to arrange another consultation time please contact Drummond Dermatology for Canberra or South Coast patients, or
The Skin Hospital, Darlinghurst for Sydney patients.

Note: A fee may be charged if an appointment is made, confirmed and you do not give reasonable notice of non- attendance.



Medico Legal Assessments


Dr Drummond is available to conduct Independent medicolegal examinations at her office in Canberra at McKay Gardens, Turner, by appointment.
